Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GeoEcon.ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When you register, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. One person may not maintain more than one account.

3. Credit Purchases & Refund Policy

GeoEcon.ai uses a credit-based system. Free credits are provided upon registration and replenished monthly. Additional credits can be purchased through our platform.

  • All credit purchases are processed through Stripe
  • Prices are listed in US dollars and include applicable taxes
  • Purchased credits never expire
  • Refunds for unused credits are available within 14 days of purchase
  • Partially used credit packs may be refunded on a pro-rata basis for the unused portion
  • Free credits are non-refundable and have no cash value

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond normal API usage
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service or its content without our written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
  • Use the Service to generate content that is misleading, defamatory, or harmful
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free credit allocations

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by GeoEcon.ai and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (such as chat queries).

AI-generated analysis, reports, and summaries produced by the Service are provided for your personal or internal business use. You may use and share these outputs, but you may not represent them as originating from an authoritative institution (such as the IMF or US Treasury). Data sourced from third parties (IMF WEO, US Treasury TIC, NewsAPI) remains subject to the original data providers' terms and licenses.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. AI-generated analysis may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial, investment, or policy decisions. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of any content on the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GeoEcon.ai and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused purchased credits may be refunded at our discretion, subject to Section 3. We may retain your data as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and close your account.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
